Opportunites for participation in international grants

American Councils is excited to announce the new U.S - Kazakhstan University Partnership Grants. Five (5) grants will be awarded to U.S. universities to help establish new partnerships or advance current partnerships with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.

Each finalist will be awarded a $40,000 project grant to advance the following program goals:

Improve curriculum and pedagogy of English and STEM teachers, and integrate English into their courses; particularly in regions outside of Nur-Sultan and Almaty;
Facilitate, implement, and measure five U.S.-Kazakhstan partnerships that adapt policies, practices, and administrative structures for English and STEM education and adapt pedagogy and curriculum for student outcomes in those areas.

We encourage you to reach out to your current partners in the United States and share with them the files attached to this email. American Councils are ready to support matchmaking among interested institutions of higher education.

Any application submitted by a non-U.S. university representative will be disregarded. Deadline for applications is October 23, 2020. Please see the attached documents for more details.
