In 2019, the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University was among the first in the country to introduce the position of Professor-Researcher with the aim of attracting leading scholars, preserving and enhancing the university`s scientific potential, and supporting its academic schools.

The position of Professor-Researcher is open to both Kazakhstani and foreign scholars actively engaged in scientific activities, contributing to the formation of academic schools, and organizing and developing priority and emerging scientific directions.

Priority areas for fundamental and applied research include:

Pedagogical sciences;
Social sciences and humanities;
Natural sciences.
