Implementation of a dual model of Higher Pedagogical Education in Kazakhstan» - within the framework of the Kazdual project, Erasmus+ program

On April 4, 2022, within the framework of the DECADE OF SCIENCE and the current International Structural Project KAZDUAL - «Implementing Dual System in Kazakhstan», - Capacity building in higher education (CBHE) project of ERASMUS+ program at Abai KazNPU there was held an International Online Seminar «Implementation of a Dual Model of Higher Pedagogical Education in Kazakhstan».

The organizers of the International Online Seminar were: the Department of Science, the speakers of the event Bayan Sapargaliyeva - postdoctoral researcher of EP «Geography, Environment and Services», Institute of Natural Science and Geography, coordinator of the KAZDUAL project, as well as Galiya Abayeva - Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, a key person in the KAZDUAL project.

Bayan Sapargaliyeva presented the program of the seminar and shared implementation about the implementation of the project at the university, and also informed the participants of the seminar in detail about the goal, objectives of the project, the main events and the expected results of the project. Galiya Abayeva presented and brought to the attention of the participants the initial flexible dual model in the direction of pedagogical specialties.

There were about 70 participants at the online seminar, representatives of universities and organizations from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, including: Osh Technological University, Branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in the city of Isfara, M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, A Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, Pavlodar Pedagogical University, South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz Regional University, Shakarim University, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Electrotechnical College in Semei, Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College, representatives of Abai KazNPU as well as the Institute for Advanced Studies Orleu, Translation Agency and the Advance Training Center.

There was an active discussion on dual education model, questions and answers of the seminar participants.

Summing up the results of the online event, it is possible to highlight the high activity of the audience, which indicates that the Dual Education System is relevant in Kazakhstan, the participants of the seminar are unanimous in understanding that it is necessary to develop common approaches to career guidance, to attract employers to the process of training specialists, modernization of professional and higher professional education and to the need to update the status of the Dual System in our country. Appreciation was expressed to the speakers for the useful information and good organisation of the workshop.Its participants expressed expressed their desire and willingness to contribute to the KAZDUAL project for its successful implementation.
