The Department of Economic Planning and Analysis is a structural subdivision of the university and reports to the Rector and Vice-Rector for Administrative and Financial Activities. Employees of the Department of Economic Planning and Analysis are engaged in collecting information about the economic situation of the university, drawing up plans and forecasts. Based on the economic calculations carried out, analysts prepare reports, references, analytical notes.

The main tasks of the Department of Economic Planning and Analysis are:

- formation of complete and reliable information about the activities of the university and its financial situation, providing information about the economic activities of the university;
- analysis of the financial and economic activities of the university;
- formation of a plan (forecast) of future economic results;
- monitoring of final financial results;
- regulation and control over the expenditure of funds, the targeted use of monetary resources and their effective distribution;
- coordination of pricing policy;
- participation in the distribution of funds;
- provision of information necessary for state bodies to monitor compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the subject of economic activity;
- long-term and current planning of the number and salary funds of the teaching staff, scientific and technical, educational and auxiliary, administrative and other personnel.
