Since the first days of its independence, Kazakhstan has waged an uncompromising fight against corruption. The country has taken important steps in this direction in recent years. As our President has said, all state agencies must work together to embed the principle «Corruption is an epidemic; the fight against it is everyone`s task» in the mass consciousness. Severe penalties are being imposed on courts, law enforcement agencies, bribe takers and intermediaries. Parole of citizens convicted of a corrupt act is prohibited. Since last year, a universal declaration of income was introduced. In February of this year, the Concept of Anti-Corruption Policy was approved, the ultimate goal of which is the formation of a society free of corruption. On this path, it is very important to strengthen awareness-raising among citizens and mobilize the entire society to fight corruption.
