Another meeting with students in Town Hall-format

On October 3, 2022 Rector of Abai KazNPU Darkhan Bilyalov met with activists of the university in Town Hall-format. The meeting was attended by vice-rector for academic affairs Maktagali Bektemessov, vice-rector for social development Shyngys Nurlanov, and director of the Department of Academic Affairs Khairulla Zhanbekov. The meeting was moderated by Raimbek Pirali, Chairman of the Department of Youth Affairs. They explained the situation on current issues of the academic policy of the university, the educational process, infrastructure and socio-educational activities of the university, housing and others.

Darkhan Bilyalov noted the importance of the meeting and invited students to be active and discuss the most pressing issues. «Such meetings are very important for us. Town Hall is a great opportunity to discuss problems of our university and make prompt decisions. Therefore, I urge you to be active and ask all questions of interest in order to come up with concrete solutions», he said. Responding to the students` questions, the rector stressed that he always supports students who want to engage in science and creativity. «You have a big role to play in developing science and education for the future of our country. Therefore, if you want to improve your education and get additional skills, we are always ready to support you. We want you to be competitive specialists», the first head of the university added.

Shyngys Nurlanov noted that some urgent issues are providing students with accommodation and social support for those in need. He said that the issue of allocation of dormitories is always in the spotlight.

All participants of the meeting had an opportunity to ask questions to the Rector and receive comprehensive answers.
