Abai University lecturer at Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) 

From 14 to 20 December the teacher of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, PhD Sabirova D. A. made a working trip to Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) in the framework of the international project "History in Faces and Fates: Outstanding Philologists of Abai University". This project is aimed at preserving the memory of outstanding scientists-philologists of our university and popularisation of their scientific heritage in the world academic community.

During the visit, D.A. Sabirova not only familiarised herself with the scientific and educational traditions of one of the oldest universities in Europe, but also held meetings with fellow philologists, participated in the discussion of the prospects for joint research, and presented the achievements of the national philological science.

Immersion in the academic and cultural atmosphere of Charles University allowed to exchange experiences with international scholars, get new ideas for research and discuss the possibility of realising joint educational projects. This was an important step towards strengthening international co-operation and increasing the scientific potential of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at Abai University.
