Young philologists celebrate the anniversary of M. Auezov

On April 28, 2022, a large-scale event «The Wise Son of the Kazakh Land» was held at the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer, major public figure, thinker and scientist Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov.

The event was organized by the advisors of the department Bakyt Smagulova and Fariza Bagymbaeva with the participation of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. The purpose of this event is to reveal the multifaceted talent of the classic of Kazakh literature.

Students told about interesting facts about the life and work of the writer, R. Gamzatov`s poems «Mukhtar Aga» and D. Abilev «Uly Mukhtar Auezov» were recited. Participants and guests of the event went on a tour of the Auezov places in Almaty, watching a video prepared by third-year students.

The most active participants showed off their knowledge about the life and work of Mukhtar Omarkhanovich, answering quiz and crossword questions compiled by 1st year students.

Students of the 1st year of the specialty «Philology» prepared a dramatization from the novel «The Way of Abai». At the event, Mukhtar Auezov`s favorite songs «Kozimnin karasy», «Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ai» on the verses of the great Abai were performed, Shamshi Kaldayakov`s song «Arys zhagasynda» was performed by Balnur Anuarbek. Student Dilyara Buyuzak captivated everyone with a beautiful melody to the magical sounds of dombra.

The event was held «in one breath». The students showed a genuine interest in the work of the great writer, scientist, wise son of the Kazakh land Mukhtar Auezov, thereby arguing that the younger generation knows, is proud of its spiritual heritage and cherishes it.
