Conversational Olympiad «My Dream»

On 30 May, 2022 for the first time among students who study Korean at Abai University, Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation and chose the specialty «Teacher of the Oriental (Korean) language with knowledge of English», a conversational Olympiad «My Dream» was held. The choice of the topic was due to the fact that only 1st year students took part so far.

The jury consisted of Kim Dae-hwan, director of the Korean Education Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kazakhstan, Lim Sang-mi, a volunteer teacher from South Korea, and Korean teacher N.S. Nam.

There are 20 students in the group, seven students participated in the Olympiad, but the whole group came to support their classmates.

The Olympiad was held in the 1st round, all participants received incentive prizes and diplomas. And the winners who took the first 3 places also received monetary rewards (1st place - 40 thousand tenge, 2nd - 25 thousand, 3rd - 15 thousand tenge).

This event was held with the support of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation represented by the head of the Department G.H.Abdrakhmanova and the Korean Education Center.
