International seminar «Art education at the present stage: current state, trends and prospects»

On March 11, 2022 by Educational-methodical association on direction of preparation of teachers/teachers with subject specialization in general development (music education, art education) on the basis of Abai KazNPU conducted the international seminar «Art education at the present stage: state, trends and prospects», in which leading specialists, teachers-experts from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Finland took part.

Welcoming speech was made by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of Abai KazNPU M.A.Bektemessov.

The agenda included discussion of topical issues of art education development, quality assurance of higher education in the paradigm of socio-cultural integration, problems of cybersocialization of teacher-musician, as well as the current state of academic art education in Turkey. The project «Strengthening Pedagogical Education» of the MES RK together with the World Bank, Nazarbayev University High School and Finnish experts from HAMK University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki) were discussed. Teachers from our university also took an active part in the discussions.

Within the development and implementation of innovative educational programs «Art Education» and «Music Education» conceptual renewal of their content is planned, development of research skills of students, criteria system of assessment in art, emotional intelligence and leadership qualities by means of art education.

There was a fruitful discussion on the design, modules and disciplines of student-oriented innovative educational programs based on professional competences.
