Competition-event dedicated to the day of birds «Ecological Path»

Every year, the International Day of Birds is celebrated by many countries of the world. And on April 5, the students of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography held the «Ecological Path» competition dedicated to the Day of Birds.

The event was attended by more than 200 students of 1-2 courses, as well as students enrolled in the mobility program (Shymkent, Aktobe). Total 18 groups.

The competition was held in the following nominations: Best bird`s nest; bird egg collection; newspaper contest on the theme «Ecological Path».

The jury was a specially invited guest - the head of the department of the public relations department of the Almaty Zoo, A. Rakhimova.

In summing up, the best exposure was for students of the 2 subgroups of the 1st course (English language of instruction), who collected nests of such birds as Remez, black sparrow, ostrich, as well as a collection of bird eggs.

The second place was taken by the students of the 1st course of the school, who presented the composition of the nests, and the third place was taken by the students of the 1st course to / section, who distinguished themselves not only with collections, but also with the content of the newspaper.

Especially noted the exhibition of students of the 2nd course of the Regional Council, which won the Grand Prix from the Almaty Zoo.

Creating the collections, the students took advantage of the unique opportunity to look into the bird`s nest and hold an ostrich egg in their hands.

Such events foster respect for birds, in the course of their work, students learn about their lifestyle and, most importantly, acquire skills that can be used in their future professional activities.
