Conference "Universities of modern era - development strategies and modernization experience" 

On September 26, 2023, the department «History of Kazakhstan named after Academician T.S. Sadykov» Institute of History and Law held an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Tokmuhamed Salmenuly Sadykov, on the topic «Universities of modern era - development strategies and modernization experience».

The main purpose of the anniversary conference is to update the creative heritage of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.S. Sadykova.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the KazNPU named after Abay Bolat Tilep, Deputy Akim of the city of Almaty Arman Kyrykbaev, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurynov, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Khankeldi Abzhanov, Director of the Institute of History and Law Gabit Kenzhebaev, as well as presenters scientists from home and abroad, public figures, doctoral and master`s students. In particular, laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker N.M. Orazalin, head of the department of general Turkish history at Ankara University A. Gündogdu, professor at the Israeli Ariel University, member of the Center for Advanced Study of Genocide in Los Angeles K. Feferman and others made their reports.

During the conference, the following sections were organized with the participation of scientists from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Israel, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia:

1.Historical education in the context of the challenges of the modern global world and information technology;

2.Modeling of socio-economic processes as an urgent political task of the new Kazakhstan;

3.Economics and law: current state and development prospects;

4. Merit of Academician of NAS RK T.S. Sadykova in the training of international specialists.

At the conference, current research topics in the field of historical science were discussed, as well as an overview of current research areas. The issue of the scientific heritage of T.S. Sadykov was highlighted for young researchers and university students, and discussions and dialogues between the conference participants became an important part of the conference.

This scientific and practical conference provided Kazakh and foreign scientists and researchers with the opportunity to establish contacts, exchange knowledge and experience, create cooperation and discuss future joint scientific projects. The conference was organized and held at a high level.
