Zhamilya Bakbergenova won a gold medal at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships

Bakbergenova Zhamilya, a 2nd year student of the specialty «Jurisprudence», Institute of History and Law of Abai KazNPU won the second time Asian Championship in women`s freestyle wrestling, held in the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator. In the 72 kg weight category, our student was able to defeat local athletes Davaanasan Enk Amar, Svetlana Oknazarova from Uzbekistan, Nikki Nikki from India and Sumir Niikura from Japan in the «round robin system».

On April 25, 2022 our champion was welcomed solemnly at the airport in Almaty, where there were representatives of the Directorate of the Institute of History and Law, members of the Youth Committee and students.
