On March 14, 2022, teachers of the World History Department of the Institute of History and Law - Associate Professor A.E. Dairabayeva and senior lecturer A.K. Shormanova held a webinar with a team of secondary school № 14 named after A. Nusipbayev in Kordai district of Zhambyl region on «Methodological recommendations for the preparation of school research projects and work in the «Anti-plagiarism» system. The school director Samakova G.B. organized the participation of school teachers and heads of scientific circles.
The aim of the meeting was to find out how scientific circles work and what are the results of participation of schoolchildren in scientific projects competitions. G. B. Samakova said that primary schools teachers are well prepared, some of them have already achieved good results in the regional competitions «Daryn». Shormanova A.K. not only acquainted the participants with the methods of writing scientific research and project works, but also highlighted the current topics in modern science, focusing on common mistakes made by the contestants and recommended methodological literature. It was noted that today the problem of inappropriate and incorrect borrowings in academic and scientific papers remains very acute. Therefore, checking for borrowing texts of research projects of schoolchildren is becoming a standard work of higher education institutions. During the webinar, A.E.Dayrabayeva introduced teachers and school administrators to one of the most popular «tools» for assessing the originality of research projects, the system for detection of textual borrowings «Anti-Plagiarism».
In addition, teachers met with students and told them about the peculiarities of admission and training at the Pedagogical University. During the meeting it was decided to hold a series of events where master teachers will share their experience with future teachers. In turn, university scholars are ready to conduct joint research with teachers in the field of history.
