May 31 - Memorial Day for victims of political repression

On May 31, 2020, in the Zhanalyk district of Almaty region, the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, the faculty of the Institute of History and Law laid flowers at the monument to the victims of political repression and paid tribute to them.

In addition, director of the Museum of Victims of Political Repression Anes Garifollah, academician M.Koigeldiyev, doctor of historical sciences H.Abzhanov attended the event dedicated to victims of political repression. There were also held a round table with the participation of scientists from the research center «Alashtanu» and presentation of the book «My struggle against the evil empire» by Hassen Kozha-Ahmet, a victim of political repression.
