Annual International Project "Bird of the year-2023"

On April 3, 2023, at 14.00, as part of the week of science at the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, the Annual International Project "Bird of the year -2023" started, which includes 4 rounds.

In the first round: drawing competition "All about birds", more than 800 students from more than 120 educational institutions participate: including more than 100 schools, gymnasiums, lyceums; more than 10 art studios, as well as works from some regions of the republic.

The 2nd year students of the Institute took part in the second round "Bird on the Nest" and presented models of bird nests.

The opening of event was attended by: Director of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Professor of the Department of Biology Kulyash Childebaev, Chairman of the Youth Committee Raiymbek Pirali, Deputy Director of the Institute of Zoology of NAS RK Marina Chirikova, methodologist of City scientific and methodological center of new technologies in education, Svetlana Shapkina, Head of the department for the development of the Almaty Zoo Akjamil Rakhimova and etc.
