Second life of unnecessary things will help nature

On March 24, 2023, at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography the eco-club "Ayala" and the head of the project Professor Kulzhahan Bakirova conducted a master-class for students on the recycling of household waste.

The following tasks were defined before the organizers:

- to hold the eco-event in order to implement the SDGs in Abai KazNPU (SDG № 4 - quality education and № 12 - rational consumption and production);

- to demonstrate how to give a second life to waste paper (cardboard purses), plastic (vases from bottles, a bucket of plastic products) and cloth (napkins).

The aim was to demonstrate how to use unnecessary things in order to preserve the environment and to get as many young people as possible to share their rubbish and stop the growth of dangerous littering. In this way, the organizers wanted to contribute to building motivation, knowledge and skills to recycle waste in everyday life.
