Intellectual Competition "Competence of a Modern Educator"

On December 9, 2022 the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Abai KazNPU and student self-government "Qoldau" of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography held an intellectual competition "The competence of the modern teacher" between the institutes of the university, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Mukhtar Auezov. The competition consisted of three stages. At the 1st one called "TopMedia", students answered special video questions and explained pedagogical terms. Stage 2 - "Pedagogical situation": special situational questions were asked. The 3rd stage - "Competence of a Modern Teacher at the Lesson": here the students defended in their projects the plan of the lesson, organisational skills, used methods and technologies, observance of the pedagogical ethics, definition of the stages of the lesson, coverage of the system of feedback and evaluation.

The members of the competition committee B. Almukhametov, S. Kolumbayeva, M. Ibraimov, S. Karbayeva and B. Saparov evaluated the works of the students. Thus, the first place was taken by the group "Abai bol" of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology; the second place by the group "Tizgin" of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics; the third place by the group "Zhas zhurekter" of the Institute of Philology. The groups "Qazaqi propaganda" of the Institute of History and Law and "Smart educator" of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports were awarded special letters of thanks.
