2nd year students of Kazakh and Russian groups of specialty «Chemistry» at Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography on industrial practice in electronic library of Kazakhstani-British Technical University, located in Bekturov Institute of Chemical Sciences learned how to work with different information bases, acquainted with ways of scientific information search. In particular, scientific articles in bases Web of Science, Scopus, consideration of journals, platform Wiley Online Library, information resource Springer Link, free search engines of scientific and academic research Google Scholar (Google Academy), Science Direct, https://sci-hub.se / - methods of free download of paid scientific articles through the site (sci-hub), EndNote from Clarivate Analytics. Also received skills of work with citation and bibliography management system, commercial bibliographic information allowing to format it according to citation standards, scientific electronic library of dissertations with thesis abstracts disserCat, patent database Espacenet, USPTO, Patenoscope (WIPO) and Kazakhstani system «Kazakhstan Patent Database», got familiar with methods of scientific articles analysis and other necessary information.
