Regional Chemistry and Biology Olympiad

On April 8, 2022, as part of the signed memorandum with the secondary school-lyceum №9 named after Vladimir Savva, Merken district, Zhambyl region and the Abay University, with the support of the regional scientific and practical center «Zhambyl Daryny» on the basis of the school-lyceum of secondary school №9 named after Vladimir Savva, the Regional Olympiad in «Chemistry and Biology» was held among pupils in grades 9-11.

The purpose of the Olympiad: identifying gifted students, creating favorable conditions for their further intellectual development and professional orientation; identification of students` creative thinking abilities and awareness of the application of knowledge; increasing the interest of students in the study of subjects of the natural sciences, the development of their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Bopieva Saparkul, Associate Professor of Chemistry Department of Abai KazNPU Meirmanova Aimankul, director of the secondary school-lyceum №9 Vladimir Savva Kystauov Bolatbek, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biology, Abay University Dzhunusova Raushan, associate Director of the regional scientific and practical center «Zhambyl Daryny» Tazhibekova Aiman. In total, 63 pupils of the district schools took part in the Olympiad, who completed tasks in chemical and biological subjects.

The results of the Olympiad were summed up, the winners were awarded diplomas of I-II-III degrees.
