Exhibition «Nature - our common home»

The exhibition «Nature - our common home» was held in the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography within the «Decade of Science» from 4 to 10 April 2022. The participants of the exhibition were 2nd year students of specialties «Ecology», «Biology-Chemistry», «Chemistry» and «Biology». The aim of the event was to form students` ecological culture and environmental awareness.

The scientific advisers of the exhibition were the ecologists of the educational program «Geography, Environment and Services» and the organizers of the event were Associate Professor Sabdenalieva G.M., senior teachers Raimbekova I.K., Zhandosova G. and Sadykova K.

The event began with a welcoming speech by the Rector D.N. Bilyalov and Director of the Institute of Natural History and Geography, Professor K.D. Kaymuldinova.

The exhibition featured handmade models and drawings of students. The exhibits reflected global environmental problems, sources of environmental pollution, problems of waste disposal, present and future of the cities and steppe regions of Kazakhstan. The exhibition launched the «Environment through the Eyes of Students» photo competition, which will take place on the Instagram platform on the page of the educational program throughout the Science Decade. The winners will be awarded diplomas and certificates.
