Successful participation of Abai University students in Chemistry Olympiad

On February 15, 2022, a team of students from the group of the educational program in Chemistry, the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography took part in the «Petrogames» Olympiad, which was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Almaty.

The Olympiad was attended by students majoring in Chemistry and Petrochemistry from leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), K.Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University (KazNTU), Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (KazNPU) and Caspian University.

The Olympiad was held in 4 stages: 1 - Chemistry tasks (tasks related to the sections of chemistry listed below: inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry and physical chemistry); 2 - Environmentally and economically beneficial use of oil in the 21st century. The Abai University team took an honourable first place. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University won second place, KBTU - third place.
