Exhibition «Through the pages of field practice»

On October 5, 2021, at the Institute of Natural Science and Geography of Abai KazNPU, there was held an exhibition «Through the pages of field practice», organized by the teaching staff of the EP «Biology» (professor S.K. Imankulova, associate professor K.I.Batyrova, senior teachers D.Amanbekova and E.Kauynbayeva, teacher T.Altynbek, and students).

Students of 1-2 courses during the course of educational field practice collected and carried out the identification of plants and insects, using theoretical knowledge in the disciplines «Botany» and «Zoology». The collected materials (herbariums, insect collections, other materials) were presented at this exhibition.

The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M.A. Bektemesov, Vice-Rector for Research E.A. Buribayev, Vice-Rector for Social Development Sh.N. Nurlanov, Director of the Department for Academic Affairs Kh.N. Zhanbekov, Head of the Department for Training Scientific Personnel G. A. Baimbetova, as well as the deputy director of the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.A. Chirikova, head of the department of development and public relations of the Almaty zoo A.R. Rakhimova and senior students.

Visitors praised the level of the exhibition. According to them, practice is a necessary and very useful part of the educational process, it is the best teacher. And the presented collections showed not only the great interest of students in studying the flora and fauna of their native land, but also the motivation from the first years of study to research work.
