Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 29 to 31 March , 2016 are held Republican student subject Olympiad on specialty "5B060900-Geography." The competition was attended by teams from the universities of Kazakhstan:Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National Universuty, Kazakh State Women`s Pedagogical University , M.Kh.Dulati Taraz State University. Republican Subject Olympiad was held from 3 rounds. The first round of the "Dialogue" - performed by the team, the second round of "Knowledge" - test and practical tasks, the third round of "Sight" - Independent work on the theme: "The new economic zone of the Silk Road: development prospects", "Green Energy: Major global trends and development opportunities in Kazakhstan". In the competition participated the team "Khan Taniri" consisting of 4th year students of the Chair Regional Geography and Tourism" of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography on speciality "5B060900-Geography". Team members were the following students: Konys Bayramgul, Nurmakhambetuly Nurdaulet, Kadyrkhanova Zhansaya and Supervisor: Senior Lecturer, Master of Geography - A.N.Beykitova. According to the results of the Olympiad team of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University  "Khan Taniri" awarded - Diploma of I degree, and in the standings student Konys Bayramgul - the diploma of III degree.
