75 years of the Great Victory

On May 8, 2020, an online event was held in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory «Urpaqqa uran bolgan Ulı Jenis», in memory of veterans, organized by the Deputy Director for educational work of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai KazNPU Nurlan Manapov and the organization of student self-government.

Kaimuldinova Kulyash, Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography; Zhumadil Shildebaev, chairman of the Council of Veterans, laureate of the Order of Honor, professor; Kozhagulov Tokkozha, director of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize «Daryn», member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, docent Irina Zagritsenko, made a congratulatory speech. Having expressed their sincere congratulations and wishes to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, they urged young people to remember the deeds of our fathers and grandfathers, to honor and respect the memory of those who heroically fought for Victory on the fronts and in the rear.

The guests of the evening are head of the Department of Biology Murat Zhaksybayev, members of student government, professors and active students of the Institute of Natural History and Geography. The host of the event was a 1st year student of the specialty biology Klyshbayeva Mahabbat.

During the event, Sazanbay Aziza, a 1st year student of the specialty Chemistry-Biology, read a dedication to war veterans «From the Spirit and Courage». The next word was given to Munira Balmetova, chairman of the self-government organization of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, and Altynay Kamalova, an authoritative member of the self-government organization.

Summing up the evening, the floor was given to the deputy director for educational work of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography Nurlan Manapov. The event was held at a very high level to set an example for the younger generation.
