Republican Olympiad «Abay siyi» and Open Day at Abai KazNPU

On 7 April, 2018 at Abai KazNPU, the Republican Olympiad «Abay siyi» was held among the pupils of 11 classes of general educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Open Doors Day.

At this event senior teacher of the chair of Practical Languages, responsible for career-oriented work of R.K. Tokhtamova invited pupils 11 classes of S. Seifullin school #2 (director - Rayhan Ukeeva, class teacher - Sholpan Sapasheva) and number 8 named after Yuri Gagarin (director - Gulmarya Oshakbaeva, class teacher - Elmira Abdigalina). Senior teacher, master Saule Esimbek invited pupils of the 11th form of school-gymnasium No. 148 (director - Fatima Aliakparova) and school-lyceum No. 133 (director - Tamara Zubkova).

Pupils of 11 classes were given information leaflets about Abai KazNPU. They got acquainted with the university, visited the museum, watched a video about the history of the university, got acquainted with the leadership of the Institute of Philology and multilingual education, listened to the speeches of the university administration, the best graduates.

The graduates of schools had many questions about the specialties, which are being prepared at the university, the grants allocated to these specialties, the forms of holding the UNT and the IT, the possibility of teaching in English, the training at the military department.

Teaching staff answered all their questions.

The main goal of vocational guidance work of the university and our chair is professional orientation and attraction to students of secondary general education schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, colleges for obtaining higher professional education.
