«Cognitive game-the key to knowledge» intellectual chemistry competition

On April 26, 2023, in celebration of the 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU, the teacher of the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography Marzhan Akhtaeva held an intellectual competition "Cognitive Game - the key to knowledge" among 2nd year students of the specialty "6B05301-Chemistry" in the discipline "Analysis of water and foodstuffs". Participants were divided into groups.

The competition consisted of the following stages: I - "Awareness Stage" (Each team introduces their features on a free topic); II - "Who is the fastest..." (Name all kinds of chemical utensils at speed); III - "Who`s Stronger?" (Level tasks and laboratory works on tasks); IV - "Videos on assigned topics" (topics of lectures on syllabus); V - "Role-play-sketch on topics of seminars" (on syllabus); VI - "Wonders of chemistry" (Interesting experiments).

All six stages showed that the students fully mastered the acquired knowledge and skills in the mentioned discipline. Also an exhibition with preparation of models of proteins, artificial food additives, vitamins was organised. In addition to knowledge the participants of the event presented their creative ideas and acting skills.

The competition was judged by lecturers of the Chemistry Department, Nurjan Chinibaeva, Zhanar Kozhagulova, Onlasyn Kulumbetova and Kanat Sadykov. As a result, group "PniKTiOGeN" took first place, group "Zhalyn" - second, and group "Otom" - third place.

The winners were sponsored by information company "Bugin Holding" with incentive prizes in the amount of 100 thousand tenge. We express our gratitude to the head of the company Kuatbayev Aibek who supported the trainees!
