Meeting on Independence Day

On 15 December 2018, at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University was held a solemn meeting devoted to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The rector, Professor Takir Balykbayev, opened the festive event. In his welcoming speech, he warmly congratulated the teaching staff of the university, wished his colleagues creative success and high labor achievements in scientific and pedagogical work.

By order of the rector, a number of directors of institutes, deputy directors for educational and scientific-pedagogical work, heads of chairs, professors and teachers were awarded with medals for their contribution to the development of the university and directly for active social activities. For the celebration of Independence Day, professors and teachers of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports were awarded the badge «90 years of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University» for merits and work done to educate the younger generation. The solemn event was continued with a festive concert with the participation of Kazakhstan pop stars and talented young singers.
