Round table dedicated to the 125th anniversary of M.O. Auezov

On April 4, 2022 the first big event of the Decade of Science prepared by the Department of Russian language and literature of the Institute of philology and polylingual education together with M.O.Auezov Institute of literature and art under the Committee of Science of the MES and Scientific and Cultural Centre «M.O.Auezov House-museum» took place. This is a round table entitled «Mukhtar Auezov`s Creativity: Modern Discursive Research, New Translations» dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the great writer.

Event dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the writer «Mukhtar Auezov`s Creativity: Modern Discursive Research, New Translations», brought together students, teachers of Abai KazNPU and researchers of M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art for a serious conversation about the work of an outstanding Kazakh prose writer.

Almira Kalieva, Candidate of Philology, Deputy General Director of the Institute for Science, spoke about the great work of the Institute for the Study of the Creative Heritage of M. Auezov. The students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the exposition of the Writer`s House-Museum.

The young participants of the meeting were very interested in the story of Mekemtas Myrzakhmetov, doctor of philological sciences, professor, chief researcher of the Institute, a well-known Abay scientist in Kazakhstan. Having devoted his life to the study of the work of two giants of Russian literature - Abay and M. Auezov, Mekemtas Myrzakhmetovich spoke about the spiritual ascent to the heights of a morally perfect personality.

The participants of the round table listened with enthusiasm to the story of Svetlana Ananyeva, Candidate of Philology, Head of the Department of Analytics and External Literary Relations of M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art Svetlana Viktorovna vividly and clearly presented a picture of the wide international scientific and literary ties of Kazakh scientists.

The teacher and editor-in-chief of the publishing house that publishes school textbooks, Candidate of Philological Sciences Marina Asylbekova demonstrated in her presentation methodological approaches to the study of M. Auezov`s work at school.

The head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Saule Abisheva, thanked all the participants of the round table and made a proposal to continue the conversation about the work of M. Auezov at a series of literary meetings prepared by the students themselves.
