Webinar «Counteracting destructive religious activities»

On February 24, 2022, students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education became participants in a webinar on the topic «Counteraction to destructive religious activities».
The event was organized by the advisor, candidate of philological sciences Akerke Irgebayeva with the aim of increasing the level of religious literacy, preventing the influence of destructive religious movements on the consciousness and behavior of university students.

PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Religious Studies at the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture, Nur-Mubarak Bidas Moldakhmet was invited to the webinar. He spoke about the main characteristics of destructive religious movements, methods of counteracting their influence. The religious scholar shared his experience of working with prisoners convicted of participation in extremist religious organizations, and also answered questions from teachers and students.
