Online seminar on the exchange of experience at the international level

On February 18, 2022, the teaching staff of Kazakh language and literature department named after academician S. Kirabayev of the Institute of philology and multilingual education took part in the VI International scientific-methodical online seminar «Improvement of language teaching methodology: a platform for sharing best practices» at the Institute of philology and intercultural communication of Kazan Federal University. The seminar was organised by the Gabdulla Tukay Higher School of National Culture and Education. It was organised by the Gabdulla Tukay Higher School of National Culture and Education and the Kayum Nasyri Institute (Tatarstan, Russia).

Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Radif Zamaletdinov welcomed the seminar`s participants and stressed the importance of the event in terms of developing scientific cooperation between the universities.

The seminar was attended by Prof. Mustafa Oner of Ege University (Turkey), Prof. Elmira Akhmetova of Freiburg University, Doctor of Historical Sciences (Germany), Mahira Huseynova of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Prof. of Gumilev ENU and Abai KazNPU, Doctor of Philological Sciences Baltabay Abdigaziuly, senior lecturers Roza Bakbergenova and Aizhan Yusup (Kazakhstan). Informative speeches were made by Professor Mukhabbat Kurbanova of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Professor Surna Sarbasheva of Gorno-Altaisk State University, Professor Ilshat Sakhiyatullovich Nasipov of Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University and Professor Alena Ivanova of Ulyanov Chuvash State University (Russia).

The topical issues of turcology, linguistics and linguodidactics at the present stage were discussed. Radif Zamaletdinov noted the development of scientific-methodical links between the universities and thanked foreign professors-teachers. Professor Alfiya Yusupova, organizer of the international contact, Doctor of Philology, noted the bilateral effectiveness of the exchange of experience based on the agreement with the Institute of Philology and multilingual education of Abai KazNPU. The moderator of the seminar, assistant professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Turkology of Kazan Federal University, candidate of philological sciences Elvira Denmukhametova made a presentation on the problems of teaching mother tongue in Tatar elementary schools of integrative content.

The participants of the international online seminar underlined the importance of the event organised as part of the International Language Festival (21 February) and shared their views on further cooperation.
