At the XI Republican subject Olympiad in Kazakh philology, the team of Abai KazNPU was awarded a diploma of III degree

On April 18-19, 2019, XI Republican Subject Olympiad in the specialty «5B020500 - Philology: Kazakh philology» took place at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The 3rd year student Aknur Amanova and the 4th yearstudents Balkya Iztayeva and Gulzhan Kurmanbayeva of the specialty «5B020500- Philology: Kazakh philology» of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of Abai KazNPU took part in the Olimpiad. The team leader is candidate of philological sciences, senior lecturer GaukharAskarova.

The competition was attended by 15 teams from Kazakhstan universities. The Olympiad consisted from 3 qualifying tours:
Tour I - «Acquaintance with the profession», where participants were given 5 minutes. This tour took into account the full information about the specialty «Philology», systematic response, a high level of student`s speech style and ethics.
Tour II - creating a comprehensive oral (phonetic, lexical, verbal, morphological, syntactic) and literary-theoretical analysis (thematic, ideological, artistic) to presented materials;
Tour III - development and protection of research project on the theme «Philology of the Great Steppe».

According to the Olympiad results, the team «Abai zhastari» of the Institute of Philolology and Multilingual Education of Abai KazNPU was awarded a Diploma of III degree.

Senior lecturer of Abai KazNPU, candidate of philological sciences Gaukhar Askarova was awarded a letter of thanks for preparing students for the XI Republican Subject Olympiad and the demonstration of organizational skills.
