Republican online-webinar on theme «Kazakh script in Latin: problems of onomast-graphic space»

On March 15, 2019, at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in order to implement the conceptual framework of the program, which is reflected in the Address of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev «Towards the future: spiritual modernization», there was held Republican online-webinar «Kazakh script in Latin: problems of onomast-graphic space».

Organizers ofthe event: the department of the Kazakh language and literature named after academician S. Kirabaev of the Institute of Philology and multilingual education and Latin Scientific Practical Center. At the republican online webinar took part: representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan; scientists of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov;employees of the National Scientific and Practical Center «Til Kazyna» named after Shaysultan Shayakhmetov»; representatives of regional higher educational institutions, such as H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University, South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical University, M. Otemisuly West Kazakhstan State University; professors and lecturers of Taraz State University named after M.H. Dulati; The teaching staff of higher educational institutions of Almaty (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, KazNWTTU, KazUIRandWL named after Abylai khan, SDU); JSC «National Center for Professional Development Orleu»; Akimat of Almaty; University students: applicants, graduate students, undergraduates, students;representatives of the republican media.

Famous scholars who conducted studies on the use of Latin graphics in the republic took part in the onlinе-webinar, they made presentations and expressed their topical ideas and opinions.

At the republican round table were discussed:
- problems of labeling onomastic names in graphics;
- advertising and signage in graphic space;
- spelling problems of anthroponyms;
- issues of the founding of the Latin Kazakh script on the onomast-graphic space.

Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations A.T. Kulsarieva conducted the republican online-webinar «Kazakh script in Latin: problems of onomast-graphic space».At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded special certificates.
