Improving reading literacy through working with texts of different styles

On January 10, 2025, a regular seminar of the branch of the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching the Kazakh language was held at Gymnasium No 159 named after I. Altynsarin in Almaty, organized by the head of the working group, Doctor of Pedagogical, Professor Baltabayeva Zh.K. At the seminar, a member of the working group, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Kasen E. S. made a presentation on the topic "Formation of students` style skills (8th grade)". He elaborated on the specific patterns and features of the use of language in accordance with the types of style in the school curriculum. The head of the Department, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor N. A. Ilyasova spoke about the role of text in improving students` reading literacy through text and teaching methods.

The teachers participating in the seminar shared their experiences on the topics discussed.
