Foreign scientists in the scientific and educational club «Soztanym»

On February 25, 2021, the scientific and educational club «Soztanym» of the department of Kazakh language and literature of the institute of philology and multilingual education named after Academician S. Kirabayev, organized an online seminar on the topic «Written culture of the Turkic languages».

The online event was attended by scholars from Turkey: Professor Ahmet Buran of Fırat University, who is a professor in his school of philology, Dr Ercan Alkaya, as well as doctoral students, undergraduates and students.

Professor Akhmet Buran conducted a scientific discourse with new data on the topic «Written history of the Turkic languages» and Professor of the Department of Kazakh language and literature named after academician S. Kirabayev, doctor of philology Kasym Balgiya on the topic «Spelling of complex words in the Kazakh language». Professor Ercan Alkaya, referring to the issue of the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Latin script, particularly noted the support of the last submitted alphabetic project.

A friendly dialogue took place between the students of the «Soztanym» Science and Research Club and foreign scientists. Doctoral students Fyrat Mehmetzhan Gekbayir, Yelda Yeshildal, doctoral student of the Kazakh language and literature department named after academician S. Kirabayev Gulbanu Suambekova, 3rd year student of philology specialty Magzhan Zhumagulov, chairman of student self-government of the institute shared their impressions.

The coordinators of the scientific and educational club «Soztanym» Dulat Sultanbek, Moldir Tolegen, Kamilya Abayeva and the students expressed their gratitude to the scientists and teachers.
