Science Week: issues of holding a summer session were discussed

On April 24, 2020, as part of the annual Science Week, the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature named after Academician S. Kirabayev of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of Abai KazNPU organized a republican educational and methodical webinar «Summer session: tasks of optimizing forms of knowledge control in the distance learning system».

The issues identified during the distance learning process and the measures taken to pass the summer session were raised. Head of the Testing Center Isabayeva Darazha shared the experience of our university concerning exams and a defense of diploma theses. Head of Department Esenova Kalbike drew attention to the urgent problems of distance teaching of the Kazakh language and analyzed the current shortcomings. Senior lecturer Amirzhanova Nazira told about the mistakes in the speaking technique of specialist lecturers observed during distance learning and explained their reasons. Associate Professor Ilyasova Nagima raised the problem of posting on various Internet platforms structural, functional and communicative video lessons regarding each scientific field and each topic of the subject of the Kazakh language.

Specialists of such universities as Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh State Women`s Pedagogical University, University of Foreign Languages and Business Career, East-Kazakhstan State University named after S.Amanzholov, Semey State University n.a. Shakarim, West-Kazakhstan State University n.a. Mahambet Utemisov, Pavlodar State Pedagogical University, Kazakh Agro-Technical University n.a. S.Seifullin, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University, Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism took part in the discussion, during which professor Sherubai Kurmanbaiuly from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University shared his thoughts and opinion on the topic. A comprehensive discussion took place. The Republican educational-methodical webinar was held at a high level.
