Cooperation between NGS and Abai KazNPU continues as part of the Kazdual project

On March 30, 2023, students of specialty "6B01303-Basic education with information and communication technologies" undergraduate Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology received training, organized by NGS New Generation School, a partner of the pilot dual education program. The speaker Almagul Kanagatova, director of GLOBAL NOMAD EDUCATION consulting company, conducted a motivational training on "Design of teacher`s life". She focused the interns`attention on new challenges of the time to the work of a teacher. The students carried out the tasks with interest and participated in discussions. The training was held as part of the on-the-job training planned by the partner school. The training was attended by Irina Evgeniyevna Kim, Director of Personnel Training and Development, she also planned another training "School of Public Speaking", which will be held on the April 13, 2023.

In the same day, conversation were held between the school administration and representatives of the university. On the side of KazNPU the negotiations were attended by Larisa Lebedeva, candidate of pedagogical science, acting Professor, Head of Practice of the Department of Primary Education, and Assel Akpayeva, member of the Kazdual project team and 1st year student adviser. From NGS side: Zina Nazaraliyeva, adviser to the Headmaster, Raushan Bekmuratova, Director of Junior School Academic Achievement Department, Madina Nursebitova, Director of Student Support Department, Alexandra Khon, HR Director, Akzhan Piraly, HR Specialist of New Generation School Department.

The important questions of perfection of the dual program were discussed. They are - integration of industrial training programs and educational practice within the curriculum of the 2nd year in the academic 2023-2024 year, the schedule of educational process of the 2nd year students. Scheduling the reading of the discipline Functional Literacy by the school tutor. Discussion was held about the ACQUIN agency accreditation in May 2023, preparation for the tutor`s interview. The program and format of refresher courses for tutors in the Centre of pedagogical excellence of Abai KazNPU were also proposed for discussion.The participants touched upon the issue of improving the monitoring of electronic record sheets for workplace training by student-interns. They discussed the plan for training practice in April 2023.
