Department of Informatics and Informatization of Education of abai KazNPU named after Abai together with Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology of Almaty
organized a week of mathematics and computer science "Mathematical heritage of al-Farabi - spiritual value"
(3-10 April, 2017)

          By the initiative of the head of the Department of Informatics and Informatization of Education, Abai KazNPU E.Y. Bidaybekov from 1 April, 2013 is traditionally celebrated as a professional holiday of mathematicians.

           If in 2013 only graduates and doctoral students of the institute were registered, in 2016 together with Nazarbayev intellectual school is celebrated as a large-scale event " Mathematical Heritage of al-Farabi - spiritual value".
          April 3-10 in Nazarbayev intellectual school of chemistry and biology of Almaty city was held the week of mathematics and computer science "Mathematical heritage of al-Farabi - spiritual value".
          On 10 April, 2017  a festive event was held to conduct the results. Where famous scientists of mathematics and computer science were invited such as:

            Tokybetov Zhanuzak Abdіkululy as the oldest opened the event with the traditional bata /blessing/.
           Also with a speech on informatics and mathematics in our country, the legacy of al-Farabi was delivered by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Director of Eurasia of the Mathematical Institute of ENU, international mathematics scientist Otelbayev Mukhtarbai Otelbayuly, Bidaybekov Yessen Ykylasuly, director of the Nazarbayev intellectual school of Munkeev Gulmira Bakytbekkyzy, doctor of physical sciences. Audanbekuly Nurzhan Kobesov, doctor of technical sciences, professor Shukaev Marat Kapesuly.

The event consisted from two parts:
1. scientific and practical seminar on the theme " Mathematical heritage of al-Farabi and modern mathematical and informatics education";
2. Competitions:

a) "Solving the problems of al-Farabi in the GeoGebra environment" / Olympiad /;
b) intellectual competition "Struggle of talents".
In the first part the following reports were read:
- Extra-curricular work on the study of the mathematical heritage of al-Farabi, Salgozh Indira Toishybekykyzy, doctoral student of the 2-year specialty 6D011100-informatics. Head: Medeuov Esengeldi Omirjanovich, Bostanov Bektas Ganyuly;
- International mega-school on geometric figures of al-Farabi, Turashova Shugila master of 1st year course of the specialty 6M011100-informatics. Adviser : Bidaybekov Yessen Yklasuly;
- Importance of training the heritage of al-Farabi. Sebepbayeva Bibinur-mathematics teacher Nazarbayev intellectual school;
Questions concerning the main theorems of algebra. A pupil of 9 grade - Kurmambay Aruzhan. Head: Myrsydykov Yerles;
- Algorithm for constructing the correct Gauss semigagon. Tleubek Aruzhan, a student of grade 9. Head: Myrsydykov Yerles;
- Trisection problems and its use in drawing a regular polygon. Nurgazi Tomiris- pupil of 9 grade. Head: Sebepbayeva Bibinur;
- The problem of quadrature of a circle. Gabdikaliev Adilet, a pupil of the 9 grade. Head: Myrsydykov Yerles;
        At the end of the event, the best ones were identified and rewarded with diplomas, certificates and gifts.
