Meeting on the topic «Kazakhstani youth on the way
to Independence»

On December 14, 2020, on the eve of Kazakhstan Independence Day, the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics organised a meeting on the theme « Kazakhstani Youth on the Way to Independence». The event was aimed at detailed narration about our country`s sovereignty, honoring the memory of victims of the December events of 1986, who fought for the independence of Kazakhstan, narration about the life and heroism of Kairat Ryskulbekov, propaganda of patriotic feelings among the students. Zhunis Gulbakhram, Aibolat Zhumabay and Orazaliyev Nurbakyt, participants of the December riots, were invited as guests. They told the youth about the horrors of that time and the repressions to which students at many universities in Almaty were subjected back then. There were around 300 students and teachers at the meeting. Students asked the guests a lot of questions and received informative answers to them. The meeting was held remotely on the ZOOM platform.
