Meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of

the Republic of Kazakhstan and the City Day

On September 25, 2021, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education organized a meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the City Day.

Irina Pereverzeva, head of the Russian House in Valleta (Malta), who was consul of the Russian Federation in Almaty for many years and Tamara Zubkova, head of the department of cooperation in the field of educational projects of the Roscollaboration office in Almaty, were invited to the Literary Room on the theme «Almaty through the eyes of artists».

Schoolchildren from the specialized lyceum №165 in Almaty under the guidance of Marina Asylbekova prepared a literary composition where they presented a poetic portrait of our city.

Oksana Tanskaya - art critic, head of the excursion department of A.Kasteev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan - introduced the audience to the work of Kazakhstani artists who showed Almaty landscapes in their canvases, and told about the history of the city.

More than 70 participants of the event - schoolchildren, students, teachers - were grateful to the organizers not only for the informative richness of the speeches, but also for the positive, emotional and sincere mood of the meeting.
