Online Lecture on Translation Issues by the MSU Professor

February 12, 2021, Professor of the of the Department of the Theory of Foreign Language Teaching of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Region Studies of Moscow State University Proshina Zoya delivered an online lecture «Approaches to Translation Studies». The lecturers, graduate and undergraduate students of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, participated in the lecture.

Professor Z.G. Proshina told about the peculiarities of semiotic, communicative and psycholinguistic approaches in modern translation studies. Furthermore, during the lecture, the issues on understating theory and interpretability in modern oriental languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean, were considered.

The 2-hour lecture was interesting to participants and they asked their questions. After that, the participants received satisfying answers to their questions.

The graduate and undergraduate students of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation expressed their gratitude to Professor Proshina and wished her success in giving other interesting lectures on the issues of translation.

The lecture was organized within the framework of a series of international scientific webinars on the problems of translation studies, Professor A.K. Zhumabekova.
